March madness tournament

In 1939 the first ever men’s basketball tournament took place which was in fact, not that big at first and it was not very popular at all. After 2005 march madness became the most popular event after the superbowl which made history across the united states of america. The first 12 years of March madness there where only 8 teams which was know at the time as March madness. The number of teams grew rapidly tell there were 64 teams in march madness and then the turement became one of the most popular event in the United States of America.

Ncaa tournament for girls

There was another great tournament called Ncaa tournament for girls which was a big deal because at first people thought girls or womens should not play sports. In 1982 the NCAA held the first woman basketball tournament which was not very popular at that time. It started with 32 teams that were selected to the tournament and 64 teams in 1994.It is still not very popular today but it is a liter more people since 1994 and people know now girls can play sports.
