​Lionel messi was born on 24 June 1987 in Rosario, Argentina. His parents were Celia María Cuccittini and Jorge Messi. Jorge Messi who was his father worked as a factory steel worker. While his mom was a cleaner. He always loved soccer from a very young age. But at a age of 11 he had growth hormone deficienc. This was something which causes condition that stunted growth. He had to take a drug called Human growth hormone. Many clubs were interested in letting him play on there team like River Plate but they did not want to pay for his treatments.
